Should I level the building site ?

Yes. If your site is not level we recommend you level it before we arrive to erect your building. We send posts 1 2" longer than necessary. That means your ground must be within 12" of level. We will level the building to the highest elevation. Our salesman will be glad to put a transit on your site to determine what, if anything needs to be done to your site, And make some recommendations to help you decide where the best spot for your building!

Do I need a building permit?

Perhaps. Most locations do require permits. We suggest you check with your local building inspector, town, RM offices. You are responsible for all building permits. .

Can I pour a concrete floor after the building is complete?

Yes. Please let us know your plan to pour and we may also give you a cost for the concrete installed. We have professionals ready and willing to do the job!

How much clearance will my sliding door have if my sidewalls are 14' tall?

The clearance on the gable ends will be about 13' 10". On the load bearing walls your clearance will be about 12'.

Do you install overhead doors?

Yes, we do install all sizes to fit your needs. Sliders come standard with your package, though Overhead door applications will reduce clearance by about 2'. A building with 10' walls can accommodate an 8' overhead door and a 4" concrete floor.

Do you use screws or nails to fasten the metal to the buildings?

Screws are standard on all our buildings. We use painted screws to match the color of your metal and trim. Screws are better fasteners than nails for metal.

Do you offer insulation?

Yes we offer batt insulation in the walls with options of R-20 or R-28. Our batts come in rolls which gives you a complete blanket from floor to ceiling. This insures there are no voids between posts. This can be upgraded using styrofoam, saving you more money in heating costs. We also use a vapour barrier which stops air from entering and in turn saves heating costs. In the ceiling we use blown insulation with a standard R-40, and this can also be upgraded to any desirable R value. YOUR BUDGET IS THE LIMIT!!

Can you build a custom designed building?

Yes we can. We manufacture our own trusses therefore we can easily change the span of your building. We can also do custom ag/residential facilities. Our standard package buildings are more economical. Many sizes and options are available on our standard package buildings. We may already have your building ready for you on our building program
